Atsuki Hiramatsu (Graduate School of Science and Engineering) Receives Poster Award at 39th Symposium on Solution Chemistry of Japan

Updated Dec. 26, 2016
From September 9 to 11, 2016, the 39th Symposium on Solution Chemistry of Japan was held at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology in Ibaraki, where Atsuki Hiramatsu of the Graduate School of Science and Engineering (Major of Applied Chemistry) received the Poster Award.

Carbon dots have been given much attention as a new fluorescent probe. Hiramatsu succeeded in synthesizing carbon dots with a controlled luminescence property by controlling the temperature and flow velocity using a flow reaction system under high temperature and high pressure between ethylene diamine and citric acid.

Title of Presentation:
‘Synthesis of luminescent carbon nanodots in a flow reactor’

Presenter:
Atsuki Hiramatsu
Second year, Master’s Program in Applied Chemistry, Graduate School of Science and Engineering

Co-authors:
Yusuke Hiejima (Assistant Professor, Kanazawa University)
Yoshiro Yasaka (Assistant Professor, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Doshisha
University)
Masakatsu Ueno (Professor Emeritus, Doshisha University)
Kohei Nitta (Professor, Kanazawa University)
Yoshifumi Kimura (Professor, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Doshisha University)
