Associate Professor of the Faculty of Science and Engineering, Mikio Yoshida, Receives Outstanding Research Award at POWTEX TOKYO 2016

Updated Jan. 16, 2017
On December 1, 2016, the 21st International Powder Technology Exhibition Tokyo (POWTEX TOKYO 2016) was held at Tokyo Big Sight, where Associate Professor Mikio Yoshida (Faculty of Science and Engineering, Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science) received the APPIE (the Association of Powder Process Industry and Engineering, Japan) Outstanding Research Award.

Title of Presentation:
‘Analysis of the improvement mechanism of particle fluidity by microparticle addition’

Outline of the Research:
One of the methods to improve the particle fluidity is to add micropartilces. However, as the fluidity may become worse depending on the adding conditions, Yoshida has been trying to clarify the improvement mechanism of the fluidity. As a result, the handleability of particles in various settings can be expected to be improved.
