On December 16 and 17, 2016, the 11th Young Researchers Symposium of the Society of Materials Science, Japan (JSMS) Kansai Branch was held in Shiga, where Shinnosuke Nomura of the Graduate School of Science and Engineering (Major of Mechanical Engineering) received the Branch Manager Poster Award.
Nomura discovered that, in order to improve the belt-type CVT shifting speed, it is effective to reduce the rigidity of the belt in direction of pulley clamp.
Title of Presentation:
‘Relationship between the material rigidity of the belt of a V-belt type CVT in direction of pulley clamp and the shifting speed’
First year, Master’s Program in Mechanical Engineering, Graduate School of Science and Engineering (graduated from the Faculty of Science and Engineering, Department of Mechanical and Systems Engineering)
