Aya Yoshioka of the Graduate School of Science and Engineering received the 55th FLA Conference Best Student Presentation Award at the 55th Flow Injection Analysis Conference.
Aya Yoshioka first succeeded in creating annular flow in a micro space using a PEG/citric acid aqueous two-phase system, which is mild to a biological system, and proposed a new method for separating and collecting cancer cells using this flow.

Title of the Presentation
Attempt to create a phase isolation mixed phase flow using a PEG/trisodium citrate aqueous two-phase system

Award Winner
Aya Yoshioka (First year student of Applied Chemistry, Graduate School of Science and Engineering, Graduated from the Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science)

Joint Winner
Kazuhiko Tsukagoshi(Professor of Science in Engineering)
