Exchange Program from Partner Institutions
About Exchange Program
The Graduate School of Science and Engineering and the Graduate School of Life and Medical Sciences have
International Science and Technology Course (ISTC) in all departments. All classes necessary to obtain a degree are
taught in English. Exchange students from Partner Institutions will enroll in ISTC.
There are two kinds of exchange programs based on the agreement between our partner institutions and the Graduate
School of Science and Engineering and the Graduate School of Life and Medical Sciences, Doshisha University.
- Double Degree Program
Double Degree program aims to get both their home institutions' degree and Doshisha University's degree. Students will be awarded with degree from both institutions if they meet each degree requirements. Students start the program from April or September and study at Doshisha for 2 years. They will be registered as regular students.
- Non-Degree Program
Non Degree Program is a short term (1 semester to 1 academic year) student exchange program depending on each agreement. The program basically start from April or September (if one prefers to start from different month, please contact us at least 6 months before one comes). They will be registered as special students at Doshisha.
Please be noted that detailed condition is different depends on partner institutions, so if you are interested in studying at ISTC, Doshisha, please ask your home institution about the detailed information about programs.

The curriculum is different depends on Graduate School: Science and Engineering or Life and Medical Sciences. Please
find each Registration Guides/ Class List from the page of Current Students.
Please be noted that a student cannot apply for both Graduate School at the same time.
