Course Withdrawal Period

Spring Semester 2026 course withdrawal period is May 11 at 10am to May 12 at 5 PM.

Japanese Language Registration

If you wish to register for “Japanese Language and Culture Subjects for International Students” or take the “Japanese Language Introductory Course (non-credit course),” it is a requirement to take the Japanese Language Placement Test every spring semester. After taking the test, please use your result to register for the appropriate Japanese language course.

Test URL Sent in DUET: March 1
Test: March 3 at 10 AM to March 6 at 9 AM
Test Results By Email: March 13 around 1 PM

For Intermediate and Advanced courses, please then use the Course Registration Form to register for the appropriate course during the course registration period (see dates above).

For Introductory courses, you must also take a Placement Interview after the online test, on April 9th. You will receive more information with your test result, and you can also read more information here:

Japanese Language Introductory Course

Some of the Japanese Language and Culture Subjects require Advanced Registration. Please refer to the information in the link below and do not miss the Advanced Registration period to register for these courses. Please note that you have to register for these courses by submitting the Course Registration Form (not through DUET) and that you can only take courses offered at Kyotanabe Campus.
