Research Topics
In this laboratory, we use our unique techniques to develop therapeutic drugs against emerging and reemerging infectious diseases, such as those caused by enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli O157 and the influenza virus, which are rapidly spreading in recent years, as well as various important diseases such as cancer and osteoporosis. In addition, we actively conduct unique research aimed at elucidating various biological phenomena, including the molecular mechanisms of directional intracellular vesicular transport system and its intracellular signaling mechanisms, using cell biological and molecular biological techniques.
