Research Topics
Our laboratory is conducting research on ultrasonic imaging and bio-effects due to ultrasonic exposure.
Ultrasonic imaging is currently used in various fields of clinical medicine. Especially, ultrasonic diagnosis has
been widely used in gastroenterology, cardiology, obstetrics and gynecology, urology, neurology, pulmonology and so
on. Our research topics includes to develop new imaging techniques and multimodality simultaneous imaging of
ultrasound and MR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Imaging).
Our research on bio-effects due to ultrasonic exposure is a state-of -art. According to the proteome analysis of
Medaka embryo exposed to ultrasound, specific kinds of protein has been changed. The results indicate the
significant issues on safety and therapeutic application. Also, we carried out the experiments to confirm the
improvement of antioxidant ability of rats exposed to ultrasound. As a result, biological tissues could be prevented
from various oxidative stresses by ultrasonic exposure.
